From the inspiration of a contemplative vision of the natural environment that surrounds us and the value of its cultural richness, Albufera evokes the silence from the top of a mountain, the reflections of the sun on the earth, the trill of birds flying at dawn, the aroma of the sea breeze, the taste of a good meal with the family, a leisurely stroll…

The designer Rafa Ortega proposes an innovative line of biophilic tiles in which, through a process of creative experimentation, preserved lichen, 100% natural and maintenance-free, is fused in an artisanal way on panels of 100% recycled material from residual cellulose fibres. certified circular material

Pieces of contemporary craftsmanship that propose an evolution of decorative coverings that can be touched and felt, providing not only sustainability but also a direct connection with nature and the essence of the landscape, transforming walls into windows with a view to wellbeing.

ALBUFERA’s positive impact on both people and the environment is intrinsic to its design and materiality. This is due to the use of recycled and recyclable panels with Cradle to Cradle Gold certification from the company HONEXT®, as well as the water savings provided by the preserved vegetation, which does not require irrigation for its maintenance. This vegetation creates a direct connection with nature, its sensations and the well-being that comes from experiencing the biophilia effect on both humans and spaces.

Based on 2 vegetal tile designs, the aesthetic versatility of this collection allows it to adapt to any space, forming pictures of sensations or infinite artistic compositions that relax, captivate… that also invite introspection to reflect on the need for a collective gaze that helps us to reconnect with our landscapes, preserve them… and even try to improve them.

This collection is crafted with a contemporary artisanal value, not only saving 720 kg of waste cellulose fibres and other industrial waste from landfill or incineration for every 100 m² of HONEXT® panels, but transforming them through a process into an experiential, sustainable and healthy cladding, committed to both people and their environment.

A new design by Rafa Ortega for Greenarea that expands the possibilities of our Greenarea Signature Collection, signature creations like VARETA, OTOgreen or ILLA where his creativity merges with our knowledge of preserved vegetation to transform spaces into environments that inspire and care.

HONEXT material uses waste industrial fibers from paper and cardboard manufacturing as raw material and transforms them for new uses. Through a patented, resin-free biotechnological process, the waste is recycled into boards for interior construction. Both production waste and end-of-life boards can be reintroduced into production for new-generation HONEXT products. Circular by design: 100% recyclable
