Tradition, innovation and circularity come together hand in hand with Rafa Ortega’s design in a solution that imbues nature with character in walls by transforming 100% recycled boards of residual cellulose fibers together with our handcrafted, 100% natural and maintenance-free vegetable creativity into a cladding of organic geometries, sensations and well-being..
VARETA reconnects us with the beauty and delicacy of natural forms, evoking our deepest essence. It transmits a cultural heritage rooted in craftsmanship and ancestral traditions passed down from generation to generation. However, VARETA also connects us with the present we need by integrating nature with circular materials.
This is achieved through a high degree of creative experimentation and innovation in its manufacturing process, helping to shift the habitat sector towards regenerative design.
VARETA’s positive impact on both people and the environment is intrinsic to its design and materiality. This is due to the use of recycled and recyclable panels with Cradle to Cradle Gold certification from the company HONEXT®, as well as the water savings provided by the preserved vegetation, which does not require irrigation for maintenance. This vegetation creates a direct connection with nature, its sensations and the well-being that comes from experiencing the biophilia effect in both humans and spaces.
This collection is crafted with a contemporary artisanal value, not only saving 720 kg of residual cellulose fibers and other industrial waste from landfill or incineration for every 100 m² of HONEXT® panels, but transforming them through a process into an experiential, sustainable and healthy cladding, committed to both people and their environment.

Rafa Ortega is one of the exponents of Valencian design who, from the gutierrezyortega studio, has been bringing emotion and creativity to the development of products for offices, communities, restaurants and homes for nearly 30 years… Solutions that he accompanies exhaustively during all the processes that are part of the new project.

BASE / PANEL
-HONEXT® Panel
HONEXT material uses waste industrial fibers from paper and cardboard manufacturing as raw material and transforms them for new uses. Through a patented, resin-free biotechnological process, the waste is recycled into boards for interior construction. Both production waste and end-of-life boards can be reintroduced into production for new-generation HONEXT products. Circular by design: 100% recyclable
